I hope regular readers of this blog (if there’s more than one) will forgive the long delayed update on the now not-especially-new ‘cross season. Unfortunately, the demands of my actual job (that is, trying to get a Ph.D.) have left me little time for anything other than racing and training.

First, the bottom line: things are going ok. Not great, but not as bad as they could. There has been another recent development — on which I can’t comment at the moment — that’s set back the season a bit. But I have been racing and I’m hopefully still bound for Nationals in Kansas City in December.

There are photos of the Amesbury ‘Cross, which I helped promote along with my club, NorEast Cycling, and photos of New England’s biggest ‘Cross race, the Gran Prix of Gloucester. I’ll try to get those loaded onto Flickr today, so expect updates on all those races before the end of the week.
